Feature event: The 5th Luang Prabang Film Festival (LPFF)
The 5th annual Luang Prabang Film Festival (LPFF) will present 30+ films from Southeast Asia to a diverse audience over 6-10 December 2014. The main venue will be the Handicraft Market, at the main intersection in town. Other screenings will take place in non-traditional venues (both indoor and outdoor) in the former royal capital of Laos, as Luang Prabang has no working cinemas. Between the yearly events, LPFF produces screenings and educational projects that attempt to raise awareness about film in Laos, building on a long-term, sustainable project that seeks to support a burgeoning industry and art form.
