Visa waiver for official travel between Lao, Kuwait

Laos and Kuwait have agreed to waive the entry visa requirement for government officials and diplomats of the respective countries, allowing citizens who hold official or diplomatic passports to stay for 30 days.
The agreement on visa exemption was reached in June 2015, in Vientiane. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Saleumxay Kommasith represented the Lao government while the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Laos Mr Nabeel Al Dakheel represented his government in signing the document.
However, the stipulation was made that officials and diplomats should inform the government of the destination country 30 days in advance of their intended visit.
“The visa waiver will facilitate travel by delegations wanting to attend meetings, seminars, training courses and study tours in Laos and Kuwait, and will enhance the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries,” a press release from the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Laos and Kuwait established diplomatic relations on July 14, 2008, since when cooperation between the two countries.
