H'Mong New Year
Date: December/ Venue: Vientiane, Oudomxay, Xieng Khouang, Luang Prabang
The Hmong New Year celebration features colorful displays of traditional costumes made from green, red and white silk and ornate silver jewelry. Other festivities include the Makkhon (cotton-ball) throwing ceremony, ox fighting, spinning-top races and crossbow demonstrations.

That Inhang Festival
Date: December/ Venue: Savannakhet
This festival wil be held on the grounds of the splendid that Inhang Stupa which is located just outside the city of Savannakhet. An international trade fair will include exhibitions of tourism products from Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. The fair will also include the performance of Traditional Lao music and dance, as well as a sports competition featuring football, boxing, tennis and local traditions, including a druming competition.

Supplier's Updates
 Close Ban Nam Yang Tour (Luang Nam Tha): Regarding to our local supplier, the 1 day Ban Nam Yang Trek in the Nam Ha National Protected Area (Luang Namtha) is closed from November,2014 because the forest area where tourists do trekking to Ban Nam Yang, is being cut down.
 Close Gecko Wall Rock climbing course (Luang Prabang): Green Discovery Laos announces to close all the Rock climbing courses in Luang Prabang since November 2014.
 Close program Luang Prabang - Nong Khiaw by boat (Luang Prabang): Asia Reveal Tours still stop operating the program to Nong Kiew by boat because of the dam's contruction. The program from Luang Prabang to Pak Ou cave still can be operated by boat as normal but the program to Nong Kiew will be operated by car transfer only. 
 Khon Phapheng & Liphi Waterfall  (Pakse): increase entrance fee from December 2014. Regarding to our Pakse branch office Report, entrance fee to Khon Phapheng Waterfall increases from 25,000kip to 55,000kip; entrance fee to Liphi Waterfall increases from 20,000kip to 40,000kip (includes goverment tax).
 Nava Cruise (Luang Prabang): plans to reopen the Nava Mekong by 15 December,2014.
Featured event: Luang Prabang Film Festival
The 5th annual Luang Prabang Film Festival (LPFF) will present 30+ films from Southeast Asia to a diverse audience over 6-10 December 2014. The main venue will be the Handicraft Market, at the main intersection in town. Other screenings will take place in non-traditional venues (both indoor and outdoor) in the former royal capital of Laos, as Luang Prabang has no working cinemas. Between the yearly events, LPFF produces screenings and educational projects that attempt to raise awareness about film in Laos, building on a long-term, sustainable project that seeks to support a burgeoning industry and art form.
